Abstract
This article presents the text of the speech delivered by Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf at the opening of the international Islamic conference dedicated to the 1200th anniversary of Imam al-Tirmidhi. It highlights the history of hadith scholarship, the role of Transoxiana in the development of the Islamic sciences, and the scholarly and spiritual legacy of Imam al-Tirmidhi.
