Abstract
This article offers an in-depth exploration of the complex relationship between the spirit (ruh) and the psyche, highlighting its relevance within both scientific and spiritual frameworks. The author compares the divine origin traditionally attributed to the spirit with the classical psychological view of the psyche as a function of the cerebral cortex, and argues that mystical or spiritual-gnostic practices constitute an organized system of psychotechnical methods that directly influence psychological processes.
