Abstract
Religion and faith are important social institutions that play a significant role in shaping individuals' spiritual development, moral views and cultural worldview. The article shows that religion and faith act as key factors in language development, contributing to the enrichment of vocabulary and the emergence of new words and expressions. It analyzes how religious texts, forms of worship and historical written sources introduce numerous terms into the lexical layer of a language, and how religious educational institutions reinforce linguistic norms.
