Abstract
This article presents a comprehensive analysis of Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf's scholarly treatise "Tasavvuf Haqida Tasavvur" (An Understanding of Sufism). The study examines the compositional structure of the work, the sequence of its topics and the author's approach to each theme. It elaborates on the genesis of Sufism, its roots in Islamic sources, its historical stages and schools, and evaluates the author's ability to present Sufi theory in a simple and accessible manner as well as the treatise's significance within contemporary Islamic studies.
